My Thoughts - I had absolutely no idea what to expect when I picked this up - only that the cover really drew me in - yes people I am admitting it - there was something about that cover and the synopsis that felt right. I took it home didn't read it right away actually - gave it some time, then picked it up.

The book starts of with our protagonist Mia pretty much filling us in on what her day to day routine consists of. During this period you will be introduced to her family and a favourite of mine - her brother Teddy.

Mia is your average girl. She has the supportive best friend and the great boyfriend. Oh and is Adam great. He's a bit too close to perfect actually. Sweet and caring you can't help but think how lucky she is; was.

That is until the day of the crash.

Her whole family perishes within that crash. She's dead, or should be anyway. It's then that she realises, that she, for some reason is still there somehow. She's not gone just yet, but lies on the very edge in the brink between life and death. She's in coma and can only watch as life moves on, as people move on.

With the people she loved so dearly gone the book focuses on the one decision she has to make; should she stay or go? The latter is the easy way out but with the power to watch over the boy she loves she also has to helplessly watch as he struggles to cope without her day by day.

Extremely touching; IF I STAY had me engrossed from the very first page. I'll definitely be looking out for more of her work.
