Deliciously Divine Reads #2

"Deliciously Divine Reads" features books that I look forward to reading, those that I loved and covers that I adore. Inspired by La Femme Readers & The Story Siren DDR will be posted either once every week or once every two weeks depending on whether things are hectic. All books mentioned will be going of UK based release dates.

Anna Dressed In Blood By Kendare Blake *US HERE*
Tor Books - (30 Aug 2011)
I am quite the fan of ghost stories, and this one sounds right up my ally! Cass sounds pretty badass to me xD

The Name of the Star By Maureen Johnson  *US HERE*
HarperCollinsChildren'sBooks - (29 Sep 2011)
DUDE did someone say The Ghost Police?! How awesome! I have heard so much about the author, so I just know that I have to give this one a go when it comes out!

Swear By Nina Malkin *US HERE*
Simon Pulse - (18 Oct 2011)
Looks Like ghost stories are on a all time high, me likey!

Kiss of Death By Lauren Henderson *US HERE*
Delacorte Press Books for Young Readers - (10 May 2011)
I already feel a little sad for Scarlett. It sounds so good! Definitely a lot of mystery in there.

Imaginary Girls By Nova Ren Suma *US HERE*
 Dutton Books - (14 Jun 2011)
Okay, there's no denying it. The cover is just stunning! The plot is pretty intriguing which has left me anxiously awaiting this one. Ruby and Chloe sound like amazing characters.

And Then Things Fall Apart By Arlaina Tibensky  *US HERE*
Simon Pulse; Original edition - (26 July 2011)
This one pretty much seems to have everything I look for in a novel. Betrayal, drama, love, loss, and plenty of choices. It sounds lovely if not a little bitter - sweet.

Some Girls Are By Courtney Summers *US HERE*
Griffin,U.S.; 1 edition - (4 Jan 2010)
I'm always interested to read about bullying and our girl Regina sounds just like one, until the tables turn on her of course. I've read Fall for Anything and it was pretty damn fantastic, so I have high hopes for this one since I have heard such great things about it.

The Last Little Blue Envelope By Maureen Johnson *US HERE*
Harper Teen - (26 April 2011)
Isn't the cover just full of prettiness? Prefer the US cover to the UK one. I just recently bought the first book which I plan on reading soon. Looks like a cutsie series.

Ordinary Beauty By Laura Wiess *US HERE*
MTV Books; Original edition (14 Jun 2011)
This one sounds so heart-breaking, but an overall thought-provoking read. I've read Such a Pretty Girl and How it Ends and both are fantastic reads, so I expect no less of this. Sure the cover seemed to remind me way too much of the Where She Went cover, but hey, the book sounds great and that's what counts :)

The Sky Is Everywhere By Jandy Nelson *US HERE*
Walker - (2 Jun 2011)
So, sure it took some getting used to the cover. It's presented in such a beautiful way though. Almost as a Diary. The illustrations being in colour has to be one of the highlights apart from the beautiful prose. I have no words for this book apart from the fact that every time I think of Lennie I smile, reminisce a little, and become overwhelmed by sadness. Her story is the definition of bitter-sweet. I always stress how many people need to read her story because it's one that needs to be read. In my top 5. Just to let you know, after finishing the book I fell in love with the cover, it felt and looked perfect to me all of a sudden. I suppose falling in love with a book can do that to you :)
