Kony 2012. Let's spread the word.

The words below are part of a email that I sent to many bloggers today after watching this video. I thought I would share this with you all, because I'd like to spread the word on this as much as possible.

I wasn't planning on posting today, but, well, this is pretty darn important.

I promise, you guys, that this is for a good reason.

After seeing a video, sent by a fellow blogger, I was just plain out inspired. What I would like to ask you all is, to take a few minutes of your time to watch this video. This video is about a man named Joseph Kony. Jason Russell has spent years trying to spread the word about this man. A man in Uganda that has hurt many and continues to do. The reason? No one knows about him. Or 'did.' Because after working on his movement to spread the word of what these children are going through, finally, the US government has listened. A 100 US advisers were sent into the country . The thing is, for them to stay there and catch this man, they need to know that the people care or they will be pulled back, and all will be forgotten. So you see, every person counts- this moment is vital. US.

Often in war we look back with sadness and helplessness and anger. In knowing that we can do nothing. But this time. We can do something. Being bloggers, readers and authors we can spread the word. So that more and more people can know of what he has done, and so that others can know that this is something that needs to be talked about. That these children need to be saved.

2012 is that year.

The point is, If this video inspires you like it did me, then that is more than a start.

Please spread the word. Post the video on your blogs for others to see. Share your thoughts. May it be this week or the next.

Thank you for listening. ;)
