"Deliciously Divine Reads" features books that I look forward to reading, those that I loved and covers that I adore. Inspired by La Femme Readers & The Story Siren DDR will be posted either once every week or once every two weeks depending on whether things are hectic. All books mentioned will be going of UK based release dates.
Note: Eeeekk I know I’m behind on this guys! I got caught up with work and then trying to catch up on reviews and reading that it kind of took a backseat. e_e

Liesel and Po By Lauren Oliver *US HERE*
Hodder & Stoughton - (29 Sep 2011)
It's going to be wonderful, I just know it! I am so envious of those who already have a copy :P
When you reach me by Rebecca Stead *US HERE*
Anderson - (6 Jan 2011)
Although I have read some not so great reviews by some trusted bloggers I seem to be drawn to this book. Read it, thoughts?

The Beginning of After By Jennifer Castle *US HERE*
Harperteen - (6 sept 2011)
So, it sounds a little predictable with the whole "bad boy" thing, but the actual premise is interesting. I often gravitate towards books that contain grief and so I can really imagine myself getting into this one. Isn't the cover stunning in this almost quiet way?
All Unquiet Thing By Anna Jarzab *US HERE*
Ember - (10 May 2011)
HOW DID I NOT ALREADY KNOW THAT THIS WAS OUT!! In fact, how did I not know about this book in the first place? It sounds absolutely amazing, and just by reading the synopsis I can tell that it's my kind of book. MUST. ORDER. NOW! The creepy thing is that looking at the cover you would say it's beautiful, well, because, it is. Then you really look at it and realise that the girl is actually dead. Gives me goosebumps.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower By Stephen Chbosky *US HERE* Pocket Books - (2 Feb 2009)
From what I hear this is a book that both adults and teens can not only enjoy but also relate to. Many have seemed to completely fallen in love with it, so I'm very curious about it!
Ballads of Suburbia By Stephanie Kuehnert *US HERE*
MTV Books; Original edition - (20 Aug 2009)
The book touches on: love, strength, drugs, hardships and character growth. It's all done very realistically. I don't think I have read a more consuming book than this one after just reading a few chapters. I didn't get to finish it although I was desperate to continue reading because I had to read at the time. I plan on getting back to it soon because I remember how amazing this book was. Give it a go.

Story of a Girl By Sara Zaar *US HERE*
Little Brown Book Group; 1st Pbk. Ed edition (3 April 2008)
When I was 12 - 15: Sara Manning, LJ Smith, Sara Zaar, Sarah Dessen, Kate Brian and Meg Cabot were my go to girls. From all of these authors "Story of a girl" By Sara Zaar was the first book that I suppose officially introduced me to sex. It was a learning experience of: actions, repercussions, hurt, and just how being judgmental can hurt someone. At the time I was 14 or so. It opened a graphic scene I think, but this was the book that made me realise that I was ready to read about sex, about life and death, and not just ghosts and fairytales, but the gritty stuff. It stayed with me a long time after I read it. I still think about it from time to time, so, thank you Sara Zaar I was lucky that I found it at the right time.
Just Listen By Sarah Dessen *US HERE*
Puffin - (5 July 2007)
This was my first Dessen book. I completely fell in love with it. I was still pretty new to the whole YA thing at the time, so after reading this I realised that the MG section really wasn't doing it for me anymore. I also really got into my romances after this LOL. Unfortunately I thought all her books would be as good. I read maybe two more of hers and they seemed kind of bland and repetitive. I haven't picked up another of hers since. It's been years now, but I'm okay with holding on to Just Listen. Although I have recently been considering Along for the ride, the synopsis sounds more promising than most of her others.

Going Bovine By Libba Bray *US HERE*
Delacorte Press Books for Young Readers; Reissue edition - (28 Sep 2010)
I'm quite the fan of her work and after reading her previous series which was fantastic! The author is extremely talented and after hearing of a new book I was instantly interested! The book not only sounds heart - warming but also humorous. So, I'm curious to see how the author manages to balance the two throughout.
