My Thoughts - As I sat watching fantastical depressing anime I knew I had to cheer myself up, and what better way then reviewing a joyful book in the making?

In split by a kiss we get to know Josie, what I realised through this book was how much I missed and had become fond of Josie. I also got an insight as to how others might see and perceive Josie from afar. Rachel envies Josie, now I never saw that coming at all!

One of the things that I was eager to know more about were the characters Rachel and David because I felt there was a lot more to their story. So when I received Swapped by a kiss I had this big silly grin because I thought wow. Luisa Plaja was probably thinking the same thing! Just as I did with the previous book I dug right in and finished it within the day.

When Rachel's boyfriend David invites her to a music festival she is not happy at all to see her boyfriend kissing Josie. Shes upset but not really surprised, I mean it's Josie right? Pretty, perfect she has it all, Rachel right then wishes she was Josie, and Josie wishes she was like Rachel, that she could have a relationship without complications and be carefree like Rachel. Well guess what they're going to get their wish and along the way discover boy where they wrong!

What I love about the book that it tackle's a lot of teenage issues that I feel are important. Being insecure, having trust issues, being scared of rejection, feeling no one understands you, having your first crush, having your first break up and kiss, finding out who your real friends are, having family problems and more, its all in there. A lot of girls can relate to Josie and Rachel because we have all at some point have been though it.

I found Rachel very mysterious in the previous book so I was very glad to get an insight into her personality and life. I was also curious about what she had with David and I can now say genuinely say that he is her rock and understands her most, but most of all what they have is real.

The fact that it was 3am and everybody was asleep probably wasn't such a great idea that I was once again laughing and giggling like a loony.

Through the switch they gain a certain respect for each other like "Hey maybe she hasn't got it all so good" kind of thing. Although I wouldn't say they were great friends, by the end of it they did develop a mutual understanding. David However, annoyed me a times because I felt he was to weak and played  the "ohh but she needed me so, how was I supposed to resist?" card. I have to say he did redeem himself in the end, and it was obvious who he was truly into.

Josie's old best friend Hailey has come to stay, the only thing is? Tori isn't to happy about it. How is Rachel supposed to deal with two jealous best friends that aren't even hers and find Josie's boyfriend without knowing what happened between the two of them before the switch, better yet how can she fix things with David when she cant tell him who she is? Sounds complicated? it is!

Yet it wrapped up perfectly, I loved the fact that things weren't toned down, you know? everything isn't always OK with friends, your family isn't always perfect, I liked the fact that things weren't sugar coated because it gave the story more of a realistic feel.

I am glad with the way things turned out although perhaps a little sad, I guess I got attached to Josie, to Rachel in particular. Maybe there's more? Hahaha a girl can dream right?

So If your ever feeling down and need a fix up, need to smile and laugh away? Then this is the series for you, it brought back some great memories and plenty of smiles on the way and I am truly going to miss it!

" I ignore my stomach and reach out for the microphone. I open my mouth.... and all that comes out is a giant burp. And i mean giant. It feels like it goes on forever, in slow motion, amplified by the microphone."

Omg I rolled over laughing like a lunatic, absolutely horrified for Josie I mean Rachel no I mean Josie urmm Rachel?! Bahahaha xD
