Oh I know what some say. That they don't care for her no BS attitude, that they don't care for her love interest, that they don't care for the book. Oh but I care, a lot. I adored GOING TOO FAR. I loved her kick ass attitude. How she was so far off from your typical vulnerable - oh so naive MC.
Meg is horribly bad. She does drugs, drinks, fools around with the wrong boys and has careless sex. But it takes the day she is fooling around with a friend and two boys on the rail-road tracks that everything turns upside down.
Much to her dismay she has to spend days riding with police officer John After during his shifts to get a taste of what it's like being on the "good side" but it's during these sessions that things get much more interesting.
Did I forget to mention how sizzling the chemistry is in the book? The chemistry between these two in particular. It's enticing and builds and builds until you want to scream "MAKE OUT ALREADY" *hangs head in shame* I know, I know. But it felt so right. I grinned when she pushed his buttons, when she turned a professional, not so professional. Oh my, I'm getting carried away here.
Trust me there's a good plot to it. Our dear John After it turns out may not be so perfect after all, and Meg has issues of her own; issues that may come between the two. More - so the book is completely addictive and I devoured it in one sitting.
So apparently I adored this book, or so they say. Who am I kidding. I freaking LOVED IT!
