My Thoughts - Julia is a girl who doesn't have the best self esteem. She's on the shy side, and likes to blend in. She hangs with people she's most comfortable with and known since she was young. Sam is her best friend who I felt really looked out for her. Dana later on seemed to fall into the background as I didn't really hear much from her. Katie is your classic untrustworthy friend which complicates things. Julia finds herself actually having to look around if Katie is there which lead me to ask, how can you constantly be around someone who you don't trust?

Julia's mother died when she was very young and her father has been very protective ever since whereas her brother Luke is more on the reserved side. The thing is the night Julia's mother died she was there, so why can't she remember a single thing?

The day that Nicholas saves her changes everything. She's completely infatuated and can't stop thinking about him. It's at this moment I think that Julia also changes. Gone is safe boxed - up Julia, and replaced instead is someone who is willing to take chances and test herself.

Nicholas is; sweet, charming, handsome and chivalrous. Everything could possibly want in a man! What I liked about their romance was that it wasn't rushed. It took it's time and revealed itself eventually. This only made me appreciate the moment when it did even more. Phil is also someone that Julia briefly meets but feels a sense of a connection with. Now Phil is not good at all, in fact he’s a bad boy, a bad boy that I indeed liked! Hahahaha :D It was confusing though, because one moment he would turn sly, conniving, and slightly creepy, and next he was this smexy god! Is it weird that I am struggling to choose who I prefer between the two boys?

I pretty much devoured this book. It was well written and Julia was extremely likable. What this book also introduces is how Vampires may be smexy, but they are not always nice! Sometimes this whole vampire craze takes over and we imagine lovable Damon Salvatore and forget that they can eat us and rip us into shreds if they ever came across us delectable humans. Well this book brought me back to reality. Vampires are not these nice creatures with a heart and all forgiving but angry things that are easy to irritate and often very hungry and evil!

There was plenty of action in the book which kept things interesting and the reader on edge. I also liked the fact that Julia wasn't this wimp but stood up for herself! Overall this is a book that will be well worth the wait, so I recommend you order your copy right now, it will be well worth it. PS I still love you Damon =)

" I parted my lips ever so slightly, as he sucked on my lower lip jerking my body closer to him. I gasped and my breath became uneven as our lips hungrily caressed one another's"

I'll leave the rest to your imagination that kiss was just gah! I know its enough make a girl blush! how was it not nominated for the Best Kiss like seriously? Like I said, Phil is such a smex god *grins*
